So I'm slowly building back up to where I once was. The new website is active/live but still undergoing a lot of construction. I still have to add the portfolio both updated and the classic stuff. I'm back to writing again as well. Starting from simple plot points and jumping straight to scripting. So far I have a line of about five different books in development. One of which will be a web comic series and others digital and print releases. So far, it's a lot of fun jumping back in. I'll be posting some conceptual stuff as soon as I can peel away from the writing to start the drawing.

As the title says, I have so many ideas stemming from the fact that I've been absent from the art world for so long. I'm making efforts to restart the website which will showcase work I've done including my past publications. I plan to produce digital comics primarily and allowing demand/pre-orders to dictate whether the books see print so I've done the research about incorporating an online store (this would just be another avenue aside from comixology, drivethrucomics, amazon, etc.). With the technicalities thought through then it's design, theme, layout, etc. Sigh.

Also, this is all just a vehicle specifically for the new work I will be producing. There are even more ideas rolling around in that area. I have two major story lines that I want to work on that will release as completed e-books (print based solely on demand) and another two that I would like to do as web comics (which would most likely end up in a collected e-book or even print if demand is there for it). There's a lot there in the realm of character design, development, and promotion that again has me asking myself "where do I start?"

This likewise includes commissions, side work and fan art that also has to have its own place in there somewhere. All in all it's a good problem to have.

I haven't updated this journal in.. what.. years now? Man. It's almost always due to the fact that this is an ART website and if I have no new ART to update with, well then, I should forego updating until I do. Contrary to that logic however, I don't have anything new to update with... yet.

Reason being: My family and I recently moved. We are still undergoing foreclosure litigation for the previous home, however in hoping for the best but planning for the worst we moved to a new location. It's amazing how much you can pack into a house over the years. Moving was definitely a time vampire. Incidentally I also left my retail job and started work at a new IT company as Hardware/Software Install/Tech Support. In between projects, and whenever the Support Cases are few and far between, I've been drawing a lot more lately. Mostly studies, roughs and gestures. Nothing really worth scanning/uploading, but I'm working my way up to it slowly. I'm finding it very challenging to find time to devote to finalized works when balancing full time work hours. Can't argue with the pay/benefits though. Regardless, new works/portfolio updates are imminent.

I also have plans for a new comic series that I'll slowly go into detail about as I develop and divulge. I was able to procure a Wacom Companion Hybrid 32GB Tablet recently (thanks to the new job/pay increase). Paired with Manga Studio at home and Sketchbook Pro on the go this new technology is astounding. Along with the plans for a new comic series, I also plan to dabble into the web comics division. My hope is to migrate to purely digital work for both of these projects. So once again new works/portfolio updates are imminent.

Also, as a form of side work, I've been doing a lot of caricature commission work lately. I was invited to do caricature work at a Sci-Fi/Comic Convention up in Bartow a little while back. Mostly it revolved around depicting a specific person as a specific character. I had couples requesting that they be made over as Joker & Harley, Reed Richards & Sue Storm, Slave Girl Leia & Han Solo, etc. It was a lot of fun and I've been doing it ever since. I do not have the originals, of course, but I did get tagged in the uploads on my Facebook page. If you're interested in checking those out, just hop over to my Facebook page.

As usual through, if you think you'd like a caricature or perhaps even an original character, logo, page work, etc. you can simply note me here on DA, find me on Facebook, shoot me an email, however you choose. In this digital age we are all just a few clicks away.
